Chess Course
Aimed at Primary school children
By getting involved in a game of chess, children have fun while being encouraged to think outside the box, come up with new ideas and at the same time develop their mnemonic, creative and reflective skills.
Playing chess is not only fun, but it’s also an opportunity for children to tap into and develop their logical skills and abilities.
Each session includes a training part aimed at acquiring the necessary rules, tactics and strategies to tackle the game, and a playful part in which the children can practice playing games, solving quizzes and sharing ideas.
While this approach encourages on the one hand even the shyest children to get involved in group activities, on the other it caters to the needs of the liveliest personalities, helping them to develop the emotional control they need to better concentrate on the task at hand.
The course ends with a chess tournament and an award ceremony.
