Mulinelli di Sabbia

In April 2023 our school decided to embrace a charitable project in the field of schooling and education in Kenya, through the Italian charitable organization, Mulinelli di Sabbia Onlus, which has been operating in international cooperation in African countries for over 20 years.

The project is called “The School We Dream Of – Schools supporting Schools” and aims to bridge the gap between our children and the children attending “Blessed Rosa Pre and Primary School” in Lengesim, a small village located in the southern part of the country, not far from Mount Kilimanjaro and in the heart of Maasai land, where the living conditions are very different from those in Milan.

Through this project, we accompany our children on a very special journey of discovery, supported by stories, videos and photos highlighting diversities and similarities between two such distant worlds, while at the same time raising awareness of the importance of recycling, sharing and not wasting previous resources such as water, food, school supplies, etc.

Part of the project involved our classes – both Children’s House and Elementary School – in the creation of posters with photos, drawings and letters in English, which were delivered to the children at “Blessed Rosa School”.

Moreover, the school has become part of the charitable organization’s “Child Sponsorship Programme”, by supporting two pupils at “Blessed Rosa School” and ensuring they get a good-quality education.”
